Bethany's Public safety includes the Bethany Police Department and the Bethany Fire Department. Both Departments are ranked among the highest in the state for their quick response time and high degree of professionalism. The Fire Department responds to emergency and non emergency situations involving any fire for possibility of fire explosions, collapsed structure, odor or leaks of natural gas, and many other things. The Bethany Police Department Responds to issues regarding traffic enforcement, house calls, commerical enforcement, as well as patrol our city to keep it safe.

Patrol

Uniformed Officers who responds to 911 and other calls for service; preliminary investigations of crime scenes, assisting citizens in improving the quality of life in the city.

 

Traffic Enforcement

Enforce Traffic and vehicle codes in an effort to decrease congestion and accidents. This unit is used to expedite traffic within our community.

 

K-9

The usual function of the police K-9 is to assits police offcers in the performance of their wide range of duties. This includes but is not limited to: Locating, detaining, or apprehending suspect(s)s whom are resisting arrest.
