Welcome to our one stop residential shop! All of the information you need to apply for and receive your next building or alteration permit can be found below. In an effort to serve you better, all permit applications can be found on the form below. This residential permit needs to be submitted for any permanent building, alteration, or addition to you primary residence or lot. The form below should also be submitted by you or your contractor for any Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing, and/or Mechanical/HVAC work being completed.

What do I need to submit along with my permit application?

Submitting the permit alone may not be the only document needed in order for us to process your permit request. For projects that require a contractor, it is often the case that they will have all of the supporting documentation needed (if any) and can help provide that or are able to submit the permit themselves. Applications can be processed much faster with more description. For a speedier process, be sure to include details like material or building descriptions.

New buildings, additions, storm shelters, carports, accessory structures, driveways, and fences will be require the submission of a site plan that clearly shows:

  • Setbacks (information on these can be found in our city ordinance)
  • New Building/structure footprint
  • Location of primary residence
  • The location of any old structures or improvements that will be removed from the site

Any application that requires a site plan (listed above) will not be considered complete until we have a site plan submitted and will not be processed until all required documentation is received.
