The City of Bethany does not have any public tornado shelters, nor does the City of Bethany maintain a list of available public tornado shelters. If you have a storm shelter in your home or business, we recommend that you register it with the Bethany Fire Department so that we know the location of the shelter in the event Bethany has a tornadic event. 


How to Register Your Storm Shelter
You can register your storm shelter by calling the Bethany Fire Department. If you purchased a home that has an existing shelter you can call and check to see if your shelter has been previously registered. When you call to register your storm shelter, please have the following information available: 

Address of residence / business where shelter is located
Location of shelter on the property
Type of shelter (in ground, safe room, other)
Property owner name(s)
Property owner contact phone number(s)
