Description :

Work involves the performance of a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the repair and preventive maintenance of automobiles, squad cars, lawn mowers, trucks, tractors, graders, rollers, and other municipal equipment.  Work requires the use of problem-solving and judgment in matters of diagnosis and repair in the performance of preventive maintenance.  Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Mechanic in the Department of Public Works and is evaluated based on the results obtained.  This is a safety-sensitive position.

Graduation from high school (or GED) including or supplemented by vocational training in automotive mechanics, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.  Must possess a valid Oklahoma Class D Driver's License.

The City of Bethany offers a generous benefit package including vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance options, life insurance and retirement. The monthly salary range for this position is between $2,845 and $5,124.
