Description : Job functions include answering 911 emergency calls, dispatching police, fire, and medical services. The successful applicant must have the ability to multi-task in an often fast paced, high stress environment. Excellent communication and computer skills will be needed. Applicants must complete an extensive background check; those with felony convictions will not be considered. Applicants must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Applicants will complete a written exam, oral review board interview and interview with the Chief of Police.
The City of Bethany offers generous benefit package including vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance options, life insurance and retirement. Monthly salary range is between $2,843 and $4,376 depending on experience.
