Solid Waste Collector

Description : Monthly Salary Range: $2,458 to $3,935

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work involves the collection and loading of refuse into a hydraulic powered packer truck on assigned routes as a member of a solid waste-sanitation crew. Work entails considerable physical exertion resulting from repeated stepping on and off the vehicle, walking to retrieve and return customer poly carts and moving of wheeled dumpsters. Although the vehicles have hydraulic tippers, some lifting may be required. Exposure to adverse weather conditions is part of this job. Work is performed under supervision of an employee of higher grade and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion. High school diploma (or GED) is required.
