Equipment Operator I

Description : The City of Bethany is accepting applications for the position of 'Equipment Operator' in our Public Works Streets Division.

Work involves responsibility for operating construction and heavy vehicular equipment, performing, and supervising a variety of tasks in the maintenance, repair, and construction of streets, parks, parkways, water mains, sewers, and related public work and utility facilities. Specific work assignments are provided on a daily basis and may be rotated. Work includes the operation of motorized construction and or vehicular equipment and requires heavy physical labor.

Qualifications include high school diploma or GED; considerable experience performing maintenance, construction, or repair work; or any combination of training and experience. Must have ability to obtain and maintain Oklahoma Commercial Class B CDL driver’s license with air brake endorsement.

The City of Bethany offers a generous benefit package including vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance options, life insurance and retirement.  Monthly salary range is between $2,339 and $3,600 depending on experience.
