THE BETHANY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS TESTING FOR QUALIFIED APPLICANTS FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER. HIRING PREFERENCE MAY BE GIVEN TO CURRENTLY CERTIFIED C.L.E.E.T. LICENSE HOLDERS.
Applicants must be between 21 and 45 years of age and must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must have no felony convictions and must have demonstrated a history of responsible and lawful conduct.
Applicants must complete a physical agility test, written exam, oral review board interview, and interview with the chief of police and the city manager. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, the applicant must pass a pension-related physical exam, a psychological evaluation, and a background investigation. Applicants will be notified of the testing schedule.
The City of Bethany offers a generous benefit package including vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance options, life insurance and retirement. The annual salary range for this position is $47,932 and $68,221.
