Utility Crew Line Worker I

Description : Work involves responsibility for performing a variety of maintenance work in the care and upkeep of streets, parkways, parks, water lines, sewers, and other facilities. An employee of this class is also expected to read water meters. Initially, work is closely supervised, but as experience is gained, an employee of this class receives more complex and varied assignments.

Work is typically accomplished in crews, but employees of this class may also perform certain assignments independently. Work is assigned and reviewed by various Public Works Division Supervisors or other designated employees of higher grade.

The City of Bethany offers a generous benefit package including vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance options, life insurance and retirement. The monthly salary range for this position is between $2,580 and $4,131.72.
