Water Plant Operator

Description :

The City of Bethany is accepting applications for the position of Water Plant Operator.

Work involves responsibility for the operation, monitoring, sampling and control of a water treatment plant and associated equipment on an assigned rotating shift.  Work is performed under the under the general supervision of the Water Plant Supervisor and is a safety-sensitive position.

Successful candidate must possess a valid OK Driver’s License and have ability to obtain a Class D water operator’s certificate within six months of appointment.  Also required is a high school diploma or GED supplemented by training and/or experience in the knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques and methods relating to the operation of a water treatment plant.

The City of Bethany offers a generous benefit package including vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance options, life insurance and retirement. The monthly salary range for this position is between $2,845 and $4,555.
