Water Treatment

The Water Treatment team is responsible for providing clean drinking water to Bethany's residents. We also collect waste water & sewage  for treatment, and treat raw water for public consumption. Like the other divisions of the Public Works department, our services contribute to the quality of life for our citizens. Our crew is on duty 24 hours a day, serving you.

Current Water Rationing Information

The City of Bethany is on Stage 1 water rationing (default stage).

The City of Bethany is currently at Stage 1 water rationing. Stage 1 rationing allows for:

- Single family dwellings ending in odd house numbers water on odd calendar days.
- Single family dwellings ending in even house numbers water on even calendar days.

This water schedule pertains to ALL outdoor watering including grass, flower beds and gardens and any other outside water usage. Citizens can still hand water gardens, flower beds, shrubs, and trees.

We encourage citizens to adjust their watering times away from the hottest part of the day, and into the evening, overnight and early morning hours. This adjustment will help with evaporation amounts. Checking for leaks on toilets, sinks and other areas inside your home will also help with water usage levels.

Please watch our social media, website, and Cox Channel 20 for the most up to date information. Please kindly help your neighbors by spreading the word.
