Zoning
Zoning is the set of rules that govern how land may be used and the development standards for all property within Bethany. Zoning is necessary to protect the community health, safety and welfare. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on all zoning changes within Bethany, and the City Council has final approval.
The Planning & Zoning Commission oversees the implementation of our zoning code by hearing applications for rezoning a parcel(s), subdivisions, special use, and conditional use. If you are seeking to apply for one or more of these processes, please submit the relevant application below to the Community Development department by mail at PO Box 219, Bethany, OK 73008 or drop it off at 6700 NW 36th Street, Bethany, OK 73008.

Eight of the Commission members shall be appointed by the City Council with two members from each of the city's four wards. The ninth member of the Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor.
