Utility Crew Line Worker I

Description :

There are currently two openings for this position.

Work involves responsibility for performing a variety of maintenance work in the care and upkeep of streets, parkways, parks, water lines, sewers, and other facilities. An employee of this class is also expected to read water meters. Initially, work is closely supervised, but as experience is gained, an employee of this class receives more complex and varied assignments. Work is typically accomplished in crews, but employees of this class may also perform certain assignments independently. Work is assigned and reviewed by various Public Works Division Supervisors or other designated employees of higher grade.

High school diploma (or GED) is required.  Must have valid OK driver's license and ability to obtain Commercial Class B CDL driver's license and ODEQ Water/Wastewater Operators Certificate. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.  Applicant must be able to use and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.  

The City of Bethany offers a generous benefit package including vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance options, life insurance and retirement.  Monthly salary range is between $2,317 and $3,429 depending on experience.
